UCLA CORE Kidney Gala, October 14th, 2023

We are very pleased to announce our second annual UCLA CORE Kidney Gala - experience the magic at "The Gift of Life Gala: Celebrating Kidney Champions" on October 14th, 2023. Our patient ambassadors and supporters have established a non-profit organization called Circle of CORE Kidney Foundation whose sole purpose is to support the UCLA Health CORE Kidney Program so we can host events like CHAT, Fairs and a lot more including patient care and research. Please see details below on how you can support and get involved.

UCLA CORE Kidney Gala - 2023
CORE Kidney 4th of July 2023

We hope you had a safe and happy 4th of July

We participate in the 4th of July Independence Day parade every year in Huntington Beach, CA. It's the largest parade of its kind west of the Mississippi and has been going on for over 100 years, attracting more than half a million people. The parade participation was the brainchild of Brian Gilliam, a living kidney donor and lead Ambassador for UCLA Health CORE Kidney Program. The purpose of the participation in the parade is to increase awareness of kidney disease and eventually achieve independence from it. We're sharing some social media coverage of the event which we hope you will enjoy and encourage you to share as we continue to fight against this silent killer.

UCLA Health kidney program gives Louie Mejia a path to recovery

My family and I will be forever grateful to Dr Rastogi, the CORE Kidney Team and UCLA Health. I just get so amped up about how good this program is for the community that I came from,” he said. “Now I have a purpose. As a man, as a father, as a husband, it fills me with so much. Maybe this happened for a reason. Maybe this was my destiny.
